Communities In Schools of the Coastal Bend responds immediately to support students and families facing crisis. Every day, we encounter students whose ability to succeed in school is threatened by circumstances beyond their control. Families are struggling with food insecurity, unstable housing, utility shutoffs, lack of clothing and hygiene items, transportation barriers, and limited access to healthcare and other essential resources.

When a student's basic needs go unmet, learning becomes secondary. Our mission is to remove those barriers by connecting students and families with the resources they need to remain safe, healthy, and engaged in school.
